Welcome to

Studio Roka.

Studio Roka was founded in 2020 in Zürich, Switzerland. Roka is a place of creativity, inspiration and an escape from the everyday. It offers a variety of courses as well as an open workshop for all clay enthusiasts.

Here you will also find a small shop, selling locally made ceramics by Roka’s founder, Mojca Vidmar.

Wheel Courses

At Studio Roka, we offer a range of pottery wheel courses designed for every level. Ceramic Painting

Ceramic painting is a mindful, creative way to make something truly personal, whether it’s a cup, plate, or vase. Many of our guests find themselves completely absorbed, forgetting their phones and simply enjoying the calm, cozy atmosphere of the studio.

You can join on your own for some quiet time, or bring friends for a shared experience. We also host special painting events like Ceramic Painting & Bubbles - follow us on Instagram to stay in the loop.

Choose from a wide selection of bisque-fired ceramics, with CHF 25 already included in the price. If you fall in love with something larger, you can simply pay the difference (cash or Twint).

Once you’ve finished painting, we’ll glaze and fire your piece - ready for pickup in about 2 weeks.

City Clay Retreat

Looking for a special break without leaving the city? Our Clay Retreat offers five days of intensive, hands-on pottery in our cozy studio. You’ll practice daily, develop your skills much faster than in a weekly class, and share the experience with a small, inspiring group.

From bowls to plates and handles, you’ll explore a wide range of techniques while enjoying a mindful rhythm: five hours of creating each day, with lunch, beverages, clay, glazing, and firing included. By the end of the retreat, you’ll take home up to 15 handmade pieces - and unforgettable memories of a creative city holiday.

Special Friday evening workshops (2.5h) led by Studio Roka’s founder, Mojca. Each session explores one topic in depth — from throwing bigger or working with porcelain, to marbling, jewelry making, or playful clay forms.

Perfect for those with some clay experience, these evenings are a chance to grow your skills in a relaxed, mindful atmosphere.
