Earth Vase
A study of contrast: a simple, quiet form holding a fluid, moving swirl. I love to repurpose mixed materials and let them show their final colours only in their final stage.
Thrown on the potters wheel, capturing a single moment where my hands guided the clay. Because the pattern forms organically during the process, no two pieces carry the exact same pattern or character. They are a haptic experience, intentional, and entirely unique. The tones of earth and rust bring a quiet elegance to the piece.
It was important to me that these pieces don't just serve a purpose. They are designed to exist as small, quiet sculptures in your home—carrying their own weight, movement, and presence even when empty.
The flared, V-shaped silhouette carries a strong, architectural presence in a room. This form naturally guides stems outward, making it perfect for expansive, loose bouquets or wild, branching greens that need space to breathe. When left empty, the wide opening catches the shifting light of the room, highlighting the depth of the interior and making it a striking sculptural focal piece on a dining table or mantel.
