The Sculpture vase
A study of contrast: a simple, quiet form holding a fluid, moving swirl. I love to repurpose mixed materials and let them show their final colours only in their final stage.
Thrown on the potters wheel, capturing a single moment where my hands guided the clay. Because the pattern forms organically during the process, no two pieces carry the exact same pattern or character. They are a haptic experience, intentional, and entirely unique. The tones of earth and rust bring a quiet elegance to the piece.
It was important to me that these pieces don't just serve a purpose. They are designed to exist as small, quiet sculptures in your home—carrying their own weight, movement, and presence even when empty.
This piece brings an edgy, architectural contrast to your home. The tension between the rigid, geometric lines of the form and the fluid, organic movement of the swirl creates an unexpected energy. It feels more like a modern structure than a traditional ceramic vessel. I love this piece for highly minimalist, structural plants—a single bold leaf, angular branches, or dried seed pods. Left empty, its sharp edges give a minimalist and slightly brutalist flare.
