Eruption
This large vessel is a landscape of texture and fire, created to stand as a singular statement piece of ceramic art.
For me, this piece is entirely personal—it captures a fleeting moment in time, an raw expression of my own energy translated directly into the clay. Rather than a quiet background object, it commands a room with its architectural presence. The surface is a tactile study in contrast: deep, rich reds and raw rust tones collide with a volcanic, cratered beige glaze. It is incredibly haptic, shifting dramatically under your fingertips from smooth and heavy to rough, vitrified stone. The patterns are entirely abstract, formed by the unpredictable alchemy of the kiln where my intentions met the fire.
It requires nothing to justify its space, existing beautifully as a raw, sculptural artwork. Should you wish to bring nature into it, its character pairs naturally with the wild, unstructured lines of tall, dry grasses, seed pods, or a single weathered branch.
